Local events
We host social events regularly throughout the year, to give adopters a space to meet up, socialise and make connections with other adoptive families.
Cosy wonderland party
Come along to our half-term cosy wonderland party on Monday 16 February, between 10:30am - 1pm. This party is for all adopters in Central Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, with children aged 10 years and under. We’ll have games, activities and hot chocolate. Just bring your choice of snacks and lunch. Dressing gowns, slippers and teddy bears are very welcome!
National events
There are national organisations who provide events to members, including social gatherings, forums and support.
New Family Social welcomes everyone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bi, asexual, trans, questioning, queer, intersex, pansexual, transgender, gender non conforming, non binary and gender fluid. You can find social events, forums, advice, guidance and articles through their website.
Adoption UK hold regular events across England for families to attend. They range from walk and play meet ups, to forest school, light trails and parent meet ups. If you join as members, you can also access peer support virtually and in person.
